Theodore de Bary Fellowship Due March 30, 2021

A reminder that Theodore de Bary Language Study Fellowship applications are due at midnight on March 30, 2021. Be sure to get your application in on time to be considered for this prestigious language and area studies fellowship.

The Middle East Institute (MEI) offers the annual Theodore de Bary Language Study Fellowship for intensive undergraduate language study in Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, or Turkish for international students. Theodore de Barry awards can be used for intensive summer language study in the U.S. or abroad. It offers up to $8000 towards summer program tuition and living expenses. Preference is given to students who have already begun study in the target language. This fellowship complements the Summer FLAS for undergraduates, making study abroad funding available to international students who are not American citizens or permanent residents.
