'Iqrā: A Reading Group of Classical Islamic Texts
MEI is happy to announce the launch of ‘Iqrā!
The purpose of the ʾIqrā Reading Group is to read and engage with primary classical texts of the Arab-Islamic World ranging through fiqh (jurisprudence), 'aqidah (creed), kalam (theology), mantiq (logic), tarikh (history), falsafah (philosophy), and beyond. By engaging with core texts, students from various academic disciplines can gain invaluable insights into different approaches in Islam and of Islamic Studies.
Iqrā sessions will take place every Thursday, from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Knox Hall - Room 208
All students may attend!
